Coach & group travel at Bristol Airport

BRS · EGGD · Bristol

How a group is collected by coach at Bristol Airport — the meeting points, the timing, and what we handle for you.

◆ What only we write down

The coach & group pick-up playbook

Bristol keeps groups tidy by vehicle size. Anything over sixteen seats must pre-book a slot in the Bus & Coach Park — a £20 inc-VAT permit tied to your flight's arrival or departure time. Turn up without one and, if the site is full, you can be turned away; drive-up entry, when a bay is free, is £30 for thirty minutes. Minibuses and over-height vehicles use a separate car park with its own tariff. Here is the whole flow: what to book, what to bring, and the thirty-minute limit that governs every bay.

“We pre-book the Bristol Bus & Coach Park permit before every collection, so our driver rolls straight through the barrier into the allocated bay rather than gambling on a drive-up space at a site that can turn coaches away when full — and your group is met in the arrivals hall, not left waiting while a coach circles.”— Airport Coaches · first-person operational note

Timing & rules

Pre-book before travelling — operators who fail to buy an online permit may be refused access and turned away if the site is at capacity. Coaches over 16 seats use the Bus & Coach Park; maximum 30 minutes in a bay, with a fixed penalty for overstaying. There is no layover option at Bristol. If pre-booked, the entry barrier opens automatically on arrival; park in the allocated bay (staff reachable via intercom). Exit is ticketless — just follow the signs. All unscheduled bus/coach services must enter and exit via the A38 / North Side Road roundabout.
