London Gatwick is the UK's second-busiest airport and the busiest single-runway airport in the world — two terminals, North and South, linked by a free inter-terminal shuttle. This is the group organiser's briefing: which terminal your airline uses, what the forecourt drop-off really costs, and — the part few pages spell out — exactly how a coach is permitted, held and called forward to collect your party. Every figure below shows the date we last checked it against the official source.

◆ What only we write down

Collecting a group by coach

Every charter or group vehicle with more than eight seats collecting passengers at Gatwick must use the London Gatwick coach park, on the South Terminal ring road. A roll-up permit is £25.78 for one visit and covers up to three hours plus pick-up from either the North or South Terminal — pre-book it on Simplyture before you travel. Groups are met at Bus Stop 11 on Furlong Way for the North Terminal, and at Bus Stop 9 on the lower forecourt (level 0) for the South Terminal.

“We pre-book the London Gatwick coach park permit on Simplyture before every collection and hold in the coach park until your group has cleared arrivals — so the coach pulls onto the stand only when your party is ready, rather than circling a charged forecourt.”— Airport Coaches · first-person operational note
