Glasgow is Scotland's second-busiest airport — around 8 million passengers a year through a single main terminal, with every arriving flight meeting you in one place. That makes it a straightforward airport to organise a group around, once you know the two things that trip drivers up: coaches and buses have their own forecourt bay (Zone C), and the drop-off clock starts the moment you enter. This is the group organiser's briefing — where to meet an arriving party, what the forecourt really costs, and how to wait for a late flight without paying for it. Every figure below shows the date we last checked it against the official Glasgow Airport pages.

◆ What only we write down

Collecting a group by coach

Good news for group travel: Glasgow runs no coach permit and no separate coach park to pre-book. Every coach and bus simply uses Zone C of the Pick Up & Drop Off forecourt — uncovered, but with no height restriction and room for a full-size coach. The one thing to plan for is timing: the forecourt is charged (£7 for up to 15 minutes, then by the minute), so if your flight is running late the driver waits the 30 free minutes in the Long Stay car park and pulls onto Zone C when the group has cleared the Main Terminal.

Booked viaNone — Glasgow Airport operates no coach/group permit system. Coaches and buses use Zone C directly.

“Because Glasgow has no coach-permit system, our driver goes straight to Zone C — the uncovered, no-height-limit forecourt bay for coaches and buses — and waits the 30 free minutes in the Long Stay car park if your flight is running late, then pulls onto Zone C the moment your group clears the Main Terminal.”— Airport Coaches · first-person operational note
